AREAS FOR GROWTH
1. Increase the number of students testing at
or above the proficient or advance level on the California Standards Test
(CST).
2. Increase the CAHSEE passing rate by 10%.
3. Increase the usage of data to drive instruction.
4. Increase collaboration time discussing students’ behavioral issues.
5. Increase School Site Council’s focus on students’ achievement through data analysis.
6. Continue to improve how we synthesize assessment data, the content and technology standards, the
Expected Student Learning Results (ESLRs), Bloom’s Taxonomy of Critical Thinking, graphic
organizers (Thinking Maps, Reciprocal Thinking, etc.), and technology eLearning, MOODLE, Google
Docs, Smart Board, eBooks, etc.) to plan instruction for all students (general Education, English
Language Learners, Special Education), in a SDAIE presentation format.
7. Increase students’ writing time across the curriculum.
8. Develop interdisciplinary (Math, Social Science, English) SDAIE lesson plans.
9. Offer online classes (eBooks, elearning, MOODLE, Google Docs, etc.).
10. Conduct in-house assessments in Google Docs.
11. Provide students access to LAUSD email accounts.
12. Increase instructional communication by using cell phones (Voice Mail, VoiceSMS), student email
accounts, and Google docs, etc.
