Special Education Students
Special Education students attend View Park If they have a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) designation requiring important but minimal accommodations and modifications of curriculum, presentation, and product. As a result, they are provided services through an Itinerate Resource Specialist Teacher (RST).
An Individual Education Plan (IEP) Team determines the type of services these students need. These services are noted in the student’s IEP. Then specific times are scheduled for student to work with a RST.
The IEP Team consists of a special education teacher, a general education teacher, an administrator, a counselor, a parent and the student. Other individuals, as deemed appropriate to student needs, may be included. The IEP team outlines what assistance and time is required.
